In a medium bowl combine the beer and brown sugar. Sprinkle the 1 teaspoon yeast over the beer mixture; stir to dissolve. Stir in the first bread flour, using 1 cup for the 1\u00a0 1\/2 pound loaf and 1\u00a0 1\/3 cups for the 2 pound loaf. Mix well. Cover with plastic wrap; let stand at room temperature ( 75\u00b0 to 85\u00b0 ) for 12 to 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To finish the bread:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Add the starter and the remaining ingredients to the machine according to the manufacturer&#8217;s directions.
